Passionately Pink for the Cure
Are you passionate? Passionately Pink for the Cure is a new fundraising and education program that kicked off October 1, 2006, in conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The program encourages companies, schools and organizations to take that promise, make it their own, and make a difference by supporting breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. Top reported local fundraisers in 2006 were Incarnate Word High School ($2,520) and St. Mary's Hall ($1,700).
Breast cancer touches millions of lives. One by one, we can make a difference! Passionately Pink for the Cure is an easy, creative program we hope will have everyone seeing pink everywhere you look, every day in October, encouraging millions of people nationwide to get involved in the promise for the cure.
We'd like to thank the schools that made the first year of Passionately Pink for the Cure a huge success by wearing pink this October and supporting the fight against breast cancer. Your dedication to the cause raised valuable funds to support our mission to eradicate breast cancer and spread awareness of the importance of early detection to women and men all over the country. Thank you again for your support of Komen for the Cure and our exciting new venture, Passionately Pink for the Cure.
